The skull is more than anatomy; it is an unconscious record of life. Each once housed a gaze, held muscle tension, and carried breath. Now, it stands as a form, sculpture, and map.

Skull Island – about the space in which silence takes shape is not simply an archive. It is where my fascinations converge: photography, documentation, anatomy, and story. Here, animal skulls become protagonists—not inanimate objects, but carriers of memory. Each of them contains a story –  not only a biological, but also an emotional and symbolic one. Some I found by chance. Others were given to me. All serve as starting points for image and emotion. I aim to capture a presence that persists through absence. They are also an invitation: to look carefully, to ask questions, to be in the body, even if that body has already left.

Czaszka to nie tylko anatomia, to nieświadomy zapis życia. Każda z nich była kiedyś domem dla spojrzenia, dla napięcia mięśni, dla oddechu. Teraz jest formą, rzeźbą i mapą.

Skull Island – o przestrzeni, w której milczenie ma kształt to nie archiwum. To miejsce, w którym spotykają się moje fascynacje: fotografia, dokument, anatomia, opowieść. To wyspa, na której czaszki zwierząt stają się bohaterkami — nie martwymi obiektami, lecz nośnikami pamięci. Każda z nich niesie ze sobą historię — nie tylko biologiczną, ale emocjonalną, symboliczną. Niektóre znalazłam przypadkiem, inne były darem. Wszystkie są dla mnie punktem wyjścia do pracy z obrazem i emocją, do próby uchwycenia obecności, która trwa mimo nieobecności. Są też zaproszeniem: do patrzenia uważnie, do zadawania pytań, do bycia w ciele, nawet jeśli to ciało już odeszło.
